“Interning at the world’s leading news company has been a life changing experience. It was truly a blessing to work at such an amazing company because I have been given a unique insight into the world of media. Working with the Multicultural Ad Sales team has given me a new outlook on our changing America and has also made me understand the prominent role of ad sales as a whole. I was also blessed to have the opportunity to meet and shadow people in many different departments throughout the company from production to marketing, which really gave me an understanding of why CNN is such a prominent brand. I walked in this program unsure of what my next steps would be towards my career. However, I will walk out of this program more knowledgeable of myself, the industry, as well as where my focus should be during my last year in college. I would like to encourage others to seek opportunities at all times and when one door closes another one will definitely open.
