As a freshman from Howard University, I was very pleased with the results from my internship. I left with not only a better resume, but also a more concise understanding of advertising. I interned at the American Advertising Federation in Washington, DC. The first few weeks were a bit intimidating as I was timid and apprehensive; however, as the internship progressed I found myself more comfortable and self-assured. My greatest improvement has been trusting my own decisions and most importantly, not being afraid to ASK QUESTIONS. I am more than grateful to have had this opportunity! It is because of this that I am more enthused about my academics as well as my career goals. The Louis Carr Internship Foundation has been beneficial in guiding me throughout my career path.
